Have you ever heard of binaural sounds? Or experienced the change in your mood through music, singing or the vibrations of gongs, chants or singing bowls?
Music was never invented or discovered, but is innate in all of us. It is therefore not surprising that sound healing has been used as a therapy to cure many ailments for centuries, and sound medicine is experiencing a new renaissance. Neurological studies have shown that listening to music makes us more productive and creative. Healing through sound can improve many ailments, some of which are trauma-related, including depression, learning disabilities, anxiety and stress.
Impulses.
The vibrations of sound can not only change our brain waves. When sound waves reach our ears, they are converted into electrical signals that travel via the auditory nerve to the auditory cortex, the part of the brain that processes sound. When sound waves reach our brain, they trigger reactions in our body. This process changes our emotions, releases hormones and creates certain impulses.
With the vibrations of tuning forks, we can, for example, dissolve physical blockages stored in our biofield (aura) and help our body to heal. But the most powerful instrument that we always carry with us is our own voice!
The sound of your own voice is much more than a means of expression. It is the most primal technique to cleanse and heal your body and mind.
With Vocal Yoga we first and foremost contribute to the harmonization of our energy centers (chakras). Basically, we change the hormone levels through our body's own sounds and vibrations and thus create certain states in the body. Part of the training consists of activating breathing exercises, because the flow of breath is essential for making sounds. Without breath there is no sound.
As with transcendental meditation, sound can put our brain waves into altered states. But organ activity, the autonomic and limbic systems are also strengthened by sound vibrations. Bioenergetic sound exercises from Qi Gong are even said to have a pain-relieving effect. Such healing resonance techniques can be found in both traditional Chinese medicine and the Nada Yoga tradition.
Vocal Yoga is a conscious bodywork that helps us to influence and balance our mental and physical state at any time.
Body sound as an instrument is an efficient tool for influencing our current feelings, because we carry it with us everywhere and at all times. It has been found that we ourselves set our organism into vibration by THINKING of a sound (or word), so you can practice this technique even in silence, in the midst of chaos! A lot of it is about setting a clear focus on what you want to transport, activate or manifest. We have to be clear about our feelings and desires before we can transport them from the inside to the outside. This is a path to awareness, to attentiveness, or let's call it "mindfulness".
Showing feelings is difficult for many people, because we live in a time where influences and social norms make us believe that this is "not good form". I have always been "an open book" and a highly sensitive person with a particularly strong emotional world and energy. Fortunately, in my family the whole range of feelings could be mercilessly revealed and shown: fear, shame, sadness, joy and more. Over the course of my life, I have naturally gained a lot of experience where I have been socially offended, lost friends and jobs, but also experienced intense encounters and emotional moments, which become more and more frequent the higher my inner frequency gets. Vocal yoga not only frees your personal vocal frequency, but also provides support on the way to authentically embodying your self. I now feel that the unadulterated existence is a gift, because the more I can SHARE, the more I get back from my life and environment.
Since I had classical voice training since I was a child, I have been working and experimenting with my voice for over 40 years. You can currently find my musical sound under the name Urzula Amen here

Have you been trying to manifest things in your life for a while, but the desired effect is not happening? Perhaps you need to increase your frequencies.
Dr. Joe Dispenza, Eckart Tolle and many other spiritual role models talk about frequency energy. Every thought has a vibration. Our emotions have a vibration. This means that what you THINK, what you FEEL and what you DO has a direct and immediate influence on you and your vibration. And conversely, of course, on your body! Do you know the connection between emotions and physical complaints?
But it's not just about how we influence our emotional and mental well-being through thought hygiene. It's also about resonating with the different energy frequencies around us, with our environment. By being aware of these frequencies, we can learn to raise our own vibrations in order to live a more fulfilling, happier life.
So do you see problems - or do you see potential? Do you look at life from an open, broad consciousness, or is your thinking characterized by lack and fear? Everything in the universe consists of energy, even if we cannot "see" it. We can all learn to invite this helpful energy into our lives. You don't need any special gifts to do this, and you don't even have to be particularly spiritual! It's a pretty simple principle: by practicing focusing on positive thoughts, feelings and actions, we can bring our lives into harmony with our heart's desires, our true self. If we practice sensing frequencies and directing energies, you slowly begin to recognize the infinite possibilities and synchronicities of this universe. We only use our full potential when we tap into the creative power of life that is given to us from birth: the UrKraft.
